The Electric - Overloaded EP

Self Released
Dec, 2011
Since the launch of their debut album, Life is Moving, The Electric have been taking their blend of hip hop, soul, bass music and electro to shake parties around the world. Travelling to China, Greece, Brazil, and all over the USA and Europe, the group have worked tirelessly to bring the music to the people – in the club, in the street and in the studio. They’ve left blue taped up bikes all over Europe and America, worked with DC, Mixcloud, Laid Back Radio and many more. For Vadim and The Electric, it’s an exciting time – powered by the internet, self-expression has never been more diverse, and the ways for motivated people to enjoy new levels of creative freedom has never been greater.
Vadim’s main passion alongside touring is collaboration, and his long-standing work with Creative Commons has enabled thousands of producers around the world the opportunity of remixing Vadim’s music. Joining the album mixes of Overloaded and Sometimes, this EP brings some of the most exciting young producers in the scene today who’ve mashed up the beats and brought new flavours to the project. DNAE’s gone all minimal in a spaced-out electro version of Overloaded, while Rinse FM’s Grimey Breakfast Show host, Scratcha DVA, has brought the dance-floor heat with his up-tempo electro-house rework. Chicago’s production duo, Tensei (Plug Research) have brought Overloaded to the jazz hall with their Afrobeat inspired rendition that brings live percussion and trumpet to the performance, whilst fans of Dubstep and Bass music will not be disappointed either, with Dubchild and Wr1ng’s hardcore remixes! Shockingly good.
